Mark Fitzgerald on The Foundations of Coaching, Learning From Others, And How to Have Difficult Conversations

On episode #101 of the Hockey Strength Podcast, and episode #3 of the SCAPH alumni series, Mark Fitzgerald joins the show along with Mike Potenza and David Rosales.

Mark is the owner of Elite Training Systems in Whitby Ontario and the Head of Performance/Combine Development with Under Armour.

Previously, Mark served as the head strength and conditioning coach of the Anaheim Ducks (2015-2019) and the Toronto Marlies (2008-2014).

In this episode, we dive into Mark’s experiences from the AHL, to the NHL, to the private sector. He shares the lessons he’s learned in how to work with athletes at all levels and how to communicate with head coaches and management (hint: it’s not so easy).

You can find Mark on Twitter (@FitzgeraldETS), Instagram (@FitzgeraldETS), and on his website, fitzgeraldets.com.
